Swimming Lessons

YOUTH SWIMMING LESSONS

Non-summer youth swimming lessons are provided through the local elementary and middle schools as part of students' physical education program.  If your child is not enrolled in the Sioux Center schools and you are still interested in your child receiving lessons your option then would be private lessons. 

Summer youth swimming lessons are provided through the Sioux Center Recreation Department for children who are 7 years of age or have completed 1st grade (whichever comes first) or for children who are older than 7 years.  Please contact Jill Miller for more information on the summer swimming lessons program 722-4386 ext. 6.  

ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS

Adult swimming lessons are available through private lessons with an experienced instructor.  For more information contact the All Seasons Center 722-4386. 

PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS

Private swimming lessons are available through out the year.  This is a general guideline regarding private lessons.

Costs: 

1.  General Admission for non-members.

                        $5.00 Adult

                        $4.00 Youth

                        $1.00 3 & 4 year olds

                        FREE 2 & under

2.  Lessons fee - to be determined by the lessons instructor. 

*Private instructors charge any where from $7.00-$10.00 for a private ½ hour session. 

Time:

To be determined by instructor & family.  Lessons usually are ½ hour in length

and usually run for 5 weeks.
