Meet Information Our meet schedule will include Tri-State League meets, invitational and championship meets. All swimmers, regardless of ability, swim at the regular meets and optional invitational. Championship meets require a qualifying time. We do not have bench warmers. Swimmers are eligible to swim 5 individual events and possibly 2 relays in each meet. Swimmers may swim each event of butterfly, backstroke, individual medley, freestyle, breaststroke, medley relay and freestyle relay. The swimmers are divided into age groups of 8 & under, 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14 and 18 & under. The age of the swimmers on the date of the meet will determine what age bracket the swimmer will swim in. Meets are held on Saturdays with warm-ups at 8:00 a.m. and the meet starting at 9:00 a.m. Most meets conclude by 3:00 p.m. or earlier. Meet Schedule Competition information and results.
Home Meets We will be hosting 3 meets this season November 20, 2010, December 4, 2010 and February 12, 2011. All parents are expected to help in a variety of jobs, such as timing, concessions stand, set up, etc. Schedules of work assignments will be sent out prior to the meet.
Swimmers are expected to attend all of the meets. If there are any conflicts please notify the coach at least 2 weeks in advance. Meet entries are submitted 10 days prior to meets and entry fees are paid for each swimmer. We reserve the right to assess the cost of this fee back to the parents when arrangements are not made in advance of the deadline.
Transportation to the meets is the responsibility of each family. Car pools have been established by parents on their own over the years, so if you need to find transportation please call a team member or coach. Please don't leave a swimmer home because they have no transportation available, someone is always willing to help! |
